Rob Nijboer   Rob Nijboer studied guitar with Willem van Lier at the Conservatory in Groningen (NL). After earning the Performing Musician's Degree he continued his studies with John Mills in London and has taken master classes of John Williams, Roberto Aussel and Vladimir Mikulka. Furthermore he studied with the Czech guitarist Pavel Steidl. In 1995 he established the “Trio Saudade” (two guitars and mezzo soprano) with whom he performed several years and presented a CD. As a soloist he performed in the Netherlands and in England and Spain and his first solo CD “Koyunbaba” was highly acclaimed in the press. Currently he is active in the duo with clarinetist Wim de Bos as well as in the duo Abrazo with soprano Marian van der Heide. Rob Nijboer plays a beautiful guitar build by Kolya Panhuyzen.
